Welcome to Mrs. Estrada's 4th Grade Class

My name is Mrs. Estrada and I am so excited to be joining the Locke community!! Most importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! 

 

It's going to be a fun year, full of learning and adventure. My philosophy as an educator is that learning should be learner centered and built around student inquiry. As a proud mother of a 2nd grader, I see firsthand the curiosity and wonder kids have about the world around them. They are naturally curious and have TONS of questions. As an educator, my goal is to tap into their curiosity and help my students embark on an amazing learning adventure. 

 

So here is a little bit more about me. I was born and raised in Chicago. I grew up in the Hermosa Community and I am a CPS graduate. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a Spanish Bilingual Endorsement, as well as an ESL endorsement. I have a very loving and supporting family. My husband and I were blessed with our second child last September and as mentioned earlier, our eldest son will be entering 2nd grade.
